What is HTML
What is HTML: The term HTML refers to Hyper Text Markup Language, which is a programming language used to create websites and online apps. You will learn more later in this tutorial. Firstly, let’s define terms like Web page and Hypertext Markup Language.
HTML is the standard markup language for Web pages.
With HTML you can create your own Website.
HTML is easy to learn – You will enjoy it!
Hyper Text: All that means to be hypertext is “text within text.” An embedded link in a text is called a hypertext. Hyper Text mostly have deferent color than normal text color. You have tapped on a hypertext every time you click on a link that opens a new webpage. Two or more web pages (HTML documents) can be linked to one another via hypertext.
Markup Language: When applying style and formatting principles to a text document, a computer language known as markup is utilized. Text becomes more dynamic and engaging when it is written in markup. Text may be transformed into tables, hyperlinks, photos, and more.
Web Page: When open any link, you will see something in browser that called web page.. A web browser interprets a document that is typically written in HTML as a web page. Entering a URL allows you to identify a web page. A webpage can be either dynamic or static. Static web pages may be created only with HTML.
It follows that HTML is a markup language that can be used to create visually appealing webpages that appear good in a web browser with the assistance of style. Many HTML tags make up an HTML document, and each HTML tag has a unique set of contents.
Brief History of HTML
A physicist named Tim Berners-Lee, a contractor at CERN, suggested a system for CERN researchers in the late 1980s. He suggested a hypertext system based on the internet in a document he made in 1989.
As the creator of HTML, Tim Berners-Lee have a high opinion of. Tim suggested a paper titled “HTML Tags” in late 1991, which served as the first accessible explanation of HTML. As we shall see later in this course, HTML5 is the most recent version of the language.
HTML Versions History
HTML Versions History: There have been several HTML versions available since HTML was first created; a quick description of each HTML version is provided below:
HTML 1.0: Released in 1991, HTML 1.0 was the initial version of the HTML language, consisting just of the essential elements.
HTML 2.0: This was the subsequent version, a standard language version for website design, that was launched in 1995. Additional capabilities supported by HTML 2.0 were form-based file uploads and form components including text boxes and choice buttons.
HTML 3.2: W3C released HTML 3.2 at the beginning of 1997. This version included additional choices for form components and could create tables. A webpage containing intricate mathematical formulae can also be supported by it. It became the recognized norm for all browsers until January 1997. Today, the majority of browsers support it realistically.
HTML 4.01: The HTML 4.01 version, which was made available in December 1999, is a highly stable version of the language. This version, which is the official standard as of right now, has enhanced support for stylesheets (CSS) and the ability to script different multimedia components.
HTML5: The most recent Hypertext Markup language version is called HTML5. In January 2008, the first draft of this edition was made public. The HTML 5 version is currently being developed and is being worked on by two key organizations: the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHAWG).
